In literary symbolism, the chains held by ghosts are commonly noted as representing regrets from life; these ghosts have broken their bindings.
These little sterling silver ghosts have a layer of fine silver mesh fused to their surfaces, giving them an eerie texture. Each ghost is sawn by hand from sterling silver. The little ghosts hold their chains, adding more motion to these earrings. These ghosts are suspended from 20g ear wires. Each ghost measures 1.15" long. The backside of each ghost is stamped with my maker's mark (BLJ). All metal used in this piece is sterling silver, with the exception of the fine silver mesh.

If it tarnishes, sterling silver jewelry can be cleaned with cleaning cloths or solutions that are labeled as being safe for silver.
