This pendant features a stunning blue anthophyllite in garnet, filled with flashes of bright and deep blues against dark blacks with some floating sparkles as well; it is truly a unique and magnificent material that photographs will never do justice to! On the backside, an anchor sinks to the depths. Weathered by the currents, covered in algae and barnacles, the anchor drifts down to places few can follow. The anchor is surrounded by bubbles, created by tiny holes cut into the silver. The anchor's chain forms the connection for the bail for a chain to wear this pendant. The pendant measures approximately 1.25" tall and 0.65" wide at the widest point. The raised points have been polished to shine, while the low points retain the oxidized color to show off the depth and details. All metal used in this piece is sterling silver.

A few notes on caring for oxidized sterling silver: oxidized patina on sterling silver isn't particularly durable to long-term exposure to water (like bathing or swimming) or a lot of scrubbing, as friction is the way to polish silver to shine. Constant exposure to tasks such as hand washing, bathing, swimming, washing dishes, etc., will slowly wear away the oxidized patina leaving a shiny silver finish.
