The focal point of this necklace is the shimmery coffin, cut from silver-sheen obsidian with lovely flashes of silver shimmering at certain angles. The fangs are curved for dimension and the bottom jaw is suspended from the top jaw by chains, allowing each piece to move independently. Dripping from the bottom jaw is a faceted garnet drop, reminiscent of the vampire's latest meal. The pendant is suspended from the chain by a loop on either side, each adorned with a faceted garnet. The chain is finished with tiny faceted black spinel beads, a hook clasp, and a faceted black spinel drop as an accent at the end of the chain. All of the silver has been oxidized, a process which creates the blackened or antiqued appearance on silver. The raised points have been polished to shine, while the low points retain the oxidized color to show off the depth and details. The total pendant measurements are 2.75" long and 0.75" wide at the widest point, with the coffin itself measuring 1.25" tall and 0.75" wide. All metal used in this piece is sterling silver.
The chain is adjustable, with wearable lengths of 16", 18", and 20".

A few notes on caring for oxidized sterling silver: oxidized patina on sterling silver isn't particularly durable to long-term exposure to water (like bathing or swimming) or a lot of scrubbing, as friction is the way to polish silver to shine. Constant exposure to tasks such as hand washing, bathing, swimming, washing dishes, etc., will slowly wear away the oxidized patina leaving a shiny silver finish.
