The pumpkin is also adorned with curly pumpkin vines, one of which creates the loop for the chain. The stone is carnelian, and was specifically chosen due to it's coloration and translucency. This allows the carved face to glow through the stone so well, revealing the red-orange gradient that cause the light to resemble a flickering candle. \u003c\/span\u003eWhile laying flat it looks like a plain pumpkin, but with light behind it the carved face glows through the carnelian stone just like a jack-o-lantern.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular Great Pumpkin Pendant the carnelian chosen for this pumpkin is a reddish-orange carnelian, giving that carved sinister smile a more ominous appearance. \u003cspan\u003eAll of the brass has been oxidized, a process which creates the blackened or antiqued appearance on the metal. The raised points have been polished to shine, while the low points retain the oxidized color to show off the depth and details.
